Dr Faisal Al
After four years on the Syrian Revolution, I fully agree without any hesitation with the Syrian regime, the mass media and all its allied forces that Syria came under a satanic plot aimed at its destruction, the displacement of its people and the elimination of its historic and strategic role in the region.
I agree that this conspiracy targeted the “beating heart of Arabs” to choke the last breath of Arab nationalism in the region.
I will not disagree but rather agree with you that what is required is to finish off all who raise an Arabism slogan reminding Arabs of their identity and wanting to reunite them under a single banner. That’s absolutely fine!
I agree with you that what is required is to destroy any Arab regime that dreams to have a real independent national decision. I will not disagree with the Syrian President when he said not long ago in a meeting with a North Korean official that Syria and North Korea are targeted by America, because they wished for an independent national decision, and refused the imperialist and Zionist hegemony on the world... That’s fine, Mr President! I will agree on the alliance of reluctance and resistance, and will endorse that Syria’s head is wanted, because it is the main pillar in repelling the forces of domination and global arrogance. That’s all right!
I agree with you one hundred percent on the conspiracy that Syria wants to strike the heart of the Syrian army by dismantling it, being one of the few Arab armies remaining like a thorn in the side of the Zionist Israeli enemy.
I agree with you that they have dismantled the Iraqi army and now it is time to destroy the brave Syrian army. That’s fine!
I won’t argue that Syria is the only Arab country that managed to stock on food and drug by securing a strategic stockpile of wheat for decades and establishing drug factories that secured medication to the Syrians, even exporting the surplus abroad.
I will not disagree with you that there is the conspiracy to destroy Syria’s industrial infrastructure, especially in Aleppo, which had the most important factories in Syria, and produced the best products.
Also I will not disagree with you that the conspiracy targeted against Syria’s economy, which started recovering nicely in the first decade of this century. If you say that Syria was a victim of a conspiracy, I will tell you: Syria has been exposed to the most heinous conspiracy known to the Arabs during their recent history.
What else do you want? We are in full agreement!
Then let me ask you now: who carried out this conspiracy against Syria, and who provided it with all the reasons for success? Who destroyed Syria’s role in the region, and turned it from a player to a playground? Who transformed Syrian from an actor to being acted upon? Isn’t it the one who involved it in an internal conflict, and opened all the doors for everyone to come and tamper with Syria’s security, making it an arena for settling international, regional and Arab accounts? The initiator is always the one who oppresses more. And who started this dangerous game? It’s the regime that is currently complaining about the conspiracy.
Who made Syria now a humiliated follower to regional powers such as Iran? Who made the Iranian General Qasem Soleimani appear in the media as the real Syrian leader — militarily and politically? Who made the least significant Iranian official statement that Damascus is a stud for their horses? Who made the Iranians flaunt day and night that without them Bashar Al Assad wouldn’t withstand for one hour?
Would you have allowed Iran to behave this way, if indeed you have an independent national decision, Mr President? Don’t you feel ashamed and inferior when you hear Haytham Manna, an “honest national opposer”, who accuses the regime that it doesn’t have control over its own decision, and that the influential people responsible for Syria are located in Tehran and not in Damascus?
How do you respond to the international envoy to Syria Lakhdar Brahimi when he repeated exactly Haytham Manna’s words? Now you will say that the conspiracy was behind delivering the reins of power to Iran. Of course, this is nonsense.
If you behaved wisely in the beginning of the revolution and Iran and Russia didn’t fool you to confront people with iron and fire, you wouldn’t have become just a puppet at the hands of the mullahs.
Why didn’t you tell Iran, which told you it is able to eliminate the Syrian Revolution the way it did for the Green Revolution, that you don’t wish to open the gates of hell on Syria? Why did you agree to crush the revolution rather than accept people’s demands? Would you have become an Iranian game if you didn’t let things out of your hands because of your foolish calculations? Would you have lost control over your independent national decisions?
The head of Arabism is wanted in Damascus. It is true! But who made Syrians hate their Arab identity? Isn’t it the one who didn’t leave any weapon except that he used it against them for just demanding a little oxygen of freedom? How do you want Syrians to be proud of their identity if you have released the worst kinds of military and security monsters against them?
The policy you followed with Syrians after they revolted is quite similar to what you’re doing with Syrian soldiers when they join the army for the first time. For as long as we’ve seen that officers trample the dignity of the soldiers, and then demand them to take pride in themselves. It must be a joke! Would the world seclude, encircle and kick you out from Arab and international organisations, and deprive Syrians of basic needs if you didn’t commit crimes against them?
Would the Syrian people find themselves in the stomachs of whales and fish on the high seas if you didn’t prefer a criminal military solution over a civil resolution since the early days of the revolution?
We will not disagree that Syria was an incubator for all resistance movements in the region. That’s fine! But who has now destroyed this incubator except your indiscretion and arrogance?
Would you have made use of all your mercenaries if your army is still able to cope with the conspiracy? What made the Syrian army reach this miserable situation? Is it the conspiracy or your reckless policy? You throw your army in the midst of hell and then complain about the conspiracy.
Yes, the enemies of Syria want to eliminate the Syrian army, but by your Lord, who leads the military? You cannot directly accuse the United States and Israel here; America didn’t even fire a rose on your army, instead it endowed its aircrafts to help you in eastern and northern Syria when actually ISIS began to threaten you. Then, don’t tell us that America destroyed your army as it did in Iraq.
Finally, let’s talk about the massive destruction that made Syria look like World War II demolitions and probably worse. Factories and silos have been turned to rubble due to your barbarism. You didn’t leave a plant, school, mosque or silo except that you have burned under the pretext that terrorists have entered it; and then complain about the destruction of Syria, its renaissance and its economy. I will not disagree with you that armed gangs have contributed to the destruction and displacement. However, this huge destruction needs aircraft, cruise missiles, tanks, armoured vehicles, very heavy artillery, rocket launchers, and chemical weapons, which are only partially available with terrorist groups. Certainly they will not be able to make all of this terrible devastation with their weaponry.
Terrorist groups could have probably destroyed 20 percent of Syria, but you have destroyed the remaining 80 percent through your barbaric acts and scorched-earth policy, because your army is the only one who has the real destructive military power.
Who is it then the co-conspirator to destroy Syria? It is certainly you and your army. Okay don’t get upset: who carried out the vile conspiracy? You have certainly done so and you keep complaining day and night about a cosmic conspiracy.
Finally, even if armed gangs have actually succeeded in displacing fifteen million Syrians and destroying three-quarters of Syria, it remains a stain in your forehead and the forehead of your army, Mr President, because it means one thing: that you have created a miserable and loser regime since it failed to protect Syria and its people of these terrorists; therefore it is responsible for the success of the conspiracy.
You complain about a conspiracy and you have entirely carried it out.
