Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) participated in the “Little Employee” initiative in cooperation with the Qatar Career Development Center, hosting 50 children of its employees at the Ministry’s headquarters. The initiative aims to give children the opportunity to spend an introductory day in their parents’ work environment, contributing to the strengthening of family bonds and a sense of community belonging.
Participation in this initiative reflects the Ministry’s commitment to its social responsibility and its keenness to support community initiatives that seek to raise awareness among young people of the values of work and responsibility. It also enables them to gain insight into professional life and the diversity of job roles within the government sector, helping to form an initial understanding of future educational and career pathways.
The program included introductory tours of several Ministry departments, interactive workshops, and age-appropriate activities. Through these activities, the children learned about daily work processes, became familiar with the nature of government work and various job functions, and were introduced to the Ministry’s role in regulating commercial and industrial activities and supporting the national economy.
At the conclusion of the event, the Ministry honored the participating children by presenting certificates and symbolic gifts, in appreciation of their participation and engagement, and as encouragement to explore their future career aspirations through a practical and motivating learning experience.
