Doha: The Embassy of the United States in Qatar and the Cultural Village Foundation, Katara are inviting movie-lovers to a “US Film Festival” from September 1 to 3 at the Katara Drama Theatre.

This is in celebration of the Hispanic Heritage Month in the US. Three renowned films featuring Hispanic protagonists will be shown every night: the movie Coco will be screened tomorrow, September 1; Encanto, September 2, and Dora and the Lost City of Gold on September 3.

All will be screened at 7pm. Tickets are free but a registration is needed through the US Embassy in Qatar website qa.usembassy.gov.

Hispanic Heritage Month is commemorated annually by US Americans to honour Hispanic achievements and contributions to the American story, both past and present, and celebrate the diversity of the American people. This year’s Hispanic Heritage Month national theme is “Unidos: Inclusivity for a Stronger Nation,” which aligns with the United States’ value of stronger communities being built when all voices are represented.
