Open from 10am until 10pm until September 3, Filipino expatriates will be able to capture the Piyestahan or festival mood back home.
The different segments of the programme include “Kolorete” – a hair and make-up competition wherein Hair and Make-Up Artists (HMUA) are being highlighted instead of usually being behind the scene and fun fare.
“Family-Han”, a game show that will be participated in by different community organizations is a novelty that will surely catch the crowd’s attention. “Hip-Hop Dance Battle” is for enthusiasts of the hip-hop genre who will get into the groove as they watch the contenders. Of course, the Filipinos’ musical talent will come to the fore with the “Duet to Win It” segment. The search for “Munting Prinsipe at Munting Prinsesa” (Little Prince and Little Princess) is also on during the event. Children from aged 4 to 8 will vie for the title through their talent, charm and wit. Admission is free and Filipino expatriates are encouraged to bring along their non-Filipino friends. Foreigners are invited and brought home to join and experience Filipino culture and tradition during Fiesta.
