Doha, Qatar: The Katara Cultural Village Foundation concluded its 2026 summer camps after weeks of cultural, artistic, and scientific activities that witnessed significant engagement from participants and their parents. Parents praised the camps’ organisation and high-quality content, as well as the safe and stimulating learning environment they provided.
This environment contributed to developing their children’s skills and boosting their self-confidence, while also making the most of their summer vacation time with programmes that combined learning and enjoyment.
The children expressed their happiness with the experiences they had, the skills they acquired, and the friendships they formed, affirming that the camps were an exceptional experience they look forward to repeating in the coming years.
The camps, held from July 5 to 29, saw the participation of approximately 190 children of various ages, distributed across 11 specialised camps located in different Katara facilities. This comprehensive programme aimed to develop the creative, intellectual, and practical skills of children and young people through hands-on, interactive activities supervised by a select group of specialists in the fields of culture, arts, sciences, media, and heritage.
The programmes included a Heritage and Folk Crafts Camp, the Thuraya Summer Camp, the Little Actor Camp, the Literature Camp, the Photography Camp, the “Be Smart, Be Strong” Camp, the Pottery Summer Camp, the Fine Arts Summer Camp, the Religious Camp, the “Beauty from Our Heritage” Camp, and the “Silent Laughter” Camp.
All the camps provided participants with opportunities for hands-on learning, discovering their talents, and developing their abilities in an environment that combined creativity and teamwork.
The various workshops and camps witnessed remarkable engagement from the children, who demonstrated a keen enthusiasm for participating in hands-on activities, exchanging ideas, and working in teams, all within a vibrant and proactive atmosphere.
The participants’ talents shone through in acting, writing, public speaking, visual arts, ceramics, and photography, alongside their interest in heritage, science, and astronomy. This reflected the programme’s success in providing diverse educational experiences that catered to the participants’ inclinations and interests.
The Literature Camp was particularly popular with children, offering a variety of workshops focused on developing Arabic language skills, creative writing, public speaking, and oratory.
Meanwhile, the Arts, Ceramics, Photography, and Acting camps attracted talented children and helped refine their creative abilities. The Pleiades, Astronomy, and Mental & Physical Activities camps provided enriching scientific and educational experiences that fostered a love of discovery and critical thinking among the participants.
