Mercure Grand Hotel team led by Pastry Chef Saman Kumara were the overall winners in professional carving at the Qafco Flower & Vegetable show. Saman Kumara came first in butter carving and bread show pieces. Pradeep Darshana was first in vegetable carving and fruit carving. He also won second prize in butter carving and was highly commended for live vegetable carving. Mahendra Nsilvaraja came second in bread show pieces. Sameera Niyangoda came third in bread show pieces. Milshan Peries was highly commended for butter carving.
