DOHA:  Qatar will be eyeing a hat-trick of wins against Lebanon when the two sides clash in a friendly today at the Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium.

Last year, Qatar beat Lebanon by identical 1-0 margins in two 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifying games. In both matches, striker Sebastian Soria scored the goals to help Qatar pick up valuable points.

However, those two games were played with coach Paulo Autuori who has been replaced by Fahad Thani earlier this month.
Qatar failed to go past the group phase of the Gulf Cup in Bahrain, prompting a change in coach. Today’s match will be Thani’s first assignment as the coach of the Qatar national team.
