Awqaf Ministry graduates 82 Holy Quran memorisers

Doha, Qatar: Under the patronage of Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs H E Ghanem bin Shaheen Al Ghanem, the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, represented in the women’s activity department at the Department of Religious Call and Guidance, celebrated the graduation of 82 female memorisers of the Holy Quran at the memorisation centers.

This is line with the 16th Quranic session for the 9th batch of those who memorised the whole Quran for the year (2022/2023), during the annual ceremony to honour distinguished memorisers, as 70 percent of those who completed memorising the whole Quran achieved excellent grade.

At the outset of the ceremony, Assistant Director of the Department of Religious Call and Guidance Lolwah Al Ghorab delivered a speech on behalf of Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs that included thanks and appreciation to the honorable sisters for their efforts in teaching Holy Quran for the coming generations and for organizing religious and social activities that maintains the individual and the entity of society, which is the family, and raise them in a good upbringing so that they can later maintain families and children and raise them in the right way.

At the end of the speech, Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs wished to see that celebrations occurs every year and that the number of female memorisers of the Holy Quran may increase. During the celebration, a video presentation was displayed explaining the importance of memorizing the Holy Quran and acting on it.
