The National Human Rights Committee (NHRC) stressed yesterday its support to the efforts of the United Nations Commission on Human Rights in the Arab World.
President of NHRC Dr Ali bin Sumaikh Al Marri said during a meeting with the head of the UNHRC Middle East Regional Office that time is ripe to hold a number of training workshops to achieve common goals. The two sides reviewed challenges facing the Arab World and the role of the national institutions and governments in solving them. They stressed the importance of cooperation to develop the capabilities of national human rights institutions.
