•    People are asking concerned authorities to respond to the increasing number of abandoned cars on internal streets, saying that these cars are turning into waste dumping sites and denting the image of the country, urging authorities to withdraw them immediately before they become a bigger haven for garbage and rats.
•    Owners of water scooters are complaining that there are no enough parking space for their scooters at the Corniche. There is only one designated area, which is not enough for all the scooters whose numbers are growing day after day and that single parking place is very congested.
•    Parents are asking authorities to increase their vigilance on the shops selling school materials and also to increase the number of inspectors from the Consumer Protection Department as there have been instances of some traders increasing the prices of bags and other school materials this year as compared to last year.
•    The Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs has announced that it would conduct a wider inspection campaign on all recruitment offices bringing domestic workers in September to ascertain their observance of the Labour laws.
•    The Ministry of Interior has arrested about 35 workers of phone repair shops for blackmailing some of their female customers by downloading their pictures and other private files from their mobile phones while repairing without their knowledge.
•    One Qatari national has prepared the biggest register of signatures pledging their allegiance to H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. The signatures are expected to reach 15,000 on the national day and would enter the Guinness World Records.
•    Owners of small trading shops are complaining about rents increasing by 10 percent annually and are threatening to close their shops and stop their businesses for good.
