DOHA: Minister of Interior and Commander of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya), HE Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, announced the departure of the Qatar International Search and Rescue Group, affiliated with the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya), to the Kingdom of Spain to participate in wildfire suppression operations.
In a post on X, he said: "Under the directives of His Highness the Amir, the Qatar International Search and Rescue Group of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) has departed for the friendly Kingdom of Spain to participate in wildfire suppression operations, reaffirming the State of Qatar's commitment to supporting disaster response efforts and reflecting its humanitarian role in assisting friendly countries during times of crisis."
