Doha, Qatar: Approximately 800 Indonesian citizens in Qatar attended the Eid Al Adha prayer and family gathering yesterday.
The activity which was held by the Indonesian Embassy in Doha in collaboration with the Indonesian Moslem Society in Qatar (IMSQA) and the Association of Indonesian Communities in Qatar (PERMIQA) was held at Tariq bin Ziyad Secondary School in Doha. Indonesian Ambassador to Qatar,
H E Ridwan Hassan was among who attended the event.
In his remarks, Ambassador Hassan stressed three important lessons from Eid Al Adha, namely the necessity to protect human lives, the importance of establishing dialogue and the obligation to share with those in need. “Eid Al Adha must be a momentum for us to redouble our efforts to help and protect those who are weak.”
The activities were also filled with quizzes and rhyming contests which were participated in by the Indonesian diaspora in Qatar. Various attractive prizes were also provided by the committee for the winners.
