Doha, Qatar: The State of Qatar condemned on Thursday the Israeli Occupation aggression against the Global Sumud Flotilla, considering it a blatant violation of international law and maritime security, and an extension of its unjust blockade of the Gaza Strip.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed that the Israeli occupation’s approach of besieging the defenseless Palestinian people by closing crossings, attacking humanitarian aid convoys, and using food as a weapon will exacerbate the tragic humanitarian situation in the Palestinian territories, particularly in the Gaza Strip.
In this context, the Ministry stressed the necessity for the international community to stand firmly in solidarity to compel the occupation to open the crossings, remove the illegal restrictions on the flow of aid, and provide the necessary protection for the Palestinian people.
