Amir awards winners of Arabian Camel Festival for HH Sword

Doha, Qatar: The Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani attended the final races of the annual Purebred Arabian Camel Racing Festival for His Highness's Sword for the 2025-2026 season, held at the Al Shahaniya racetrack this afternoon.

His Highness awarded the winners of the four main races for the Al-Hayl and Al-Zamoul age categories (open races) owned by Their Excellencies the Sheikhs, awarding them the gold trophies. "Dawla," owned by the Presidential Camel Racing Team, won the gold sword in the open Al-Hayl race, while "Al-Qahidiya," owned by Al Shahaniya Camel Racing Team, won the gold shalfah in the Omani Al-Hayl race. "Nahab" and "Lusail," owned by the Presidential Camel Racing Team and Umm Al Zubair Camel Racing Team respectively, won the gold daggers in the open Al-Zamoul and Omani races.

His Highness also presented the silver sword to Nasser Abdullah Ahmed Al-Musnad, owner of the camel "Nathriya," after its victory in the open Al-Hayl race for camels owned by members of the tribes, which was held yesterday afternoon.

The final day of the festival was attended by a number of dignitaries, senior officials, heads of camel racing federations from brotherly and friendly countries, and a large crowd of camel racing enthusiasts.
