Istanbul: One person was killed on Saturday when an armed group attacked a car dealership in Istanbul with grenades, the Dogan news agency reported.
Turkey's largest city is currently on edge after successive attacks in the country blamed on Kurdish militants and jihadists.
The attackers first threw grenades at the dealership in the Florya district of the European side of the city and then opened fire.
Employees of the dealership in turn returned fire, killing one and wounding two, it added. Police then arrived on the scene to intervene.
Despite the current tensions in the city, there was no immediate suggestion that the incident in Florya had was connected to any militant group.
