DOHA: The General Cleanliness Project, in coordination with Al Shamal Municipality and the Ministry of Environment had lifted a dead whale from "Al Arish" beach of Al Shamal Municipality, during the field tours of the area.
Meanwhile, Al Rayyan Municipality carried out a tripartite campaign that included health control inspectors at the municipality, the minister's office inspectors and Doha Municipality inspectors seconded to Al Rayyan Municipality as part of a three-month programme for the exchange of work places among inspectors with the view of exchanging expertise. The programme started on March 15.
During the three-day campaign, different food stores were inspected and resulted in the issuance of control and seizure reports after finding foodstuffs unfit for human consumption in accordance with law No. 8 of 1990 and 4 violation reports in accordance with the provisions of law No. 3 of 1975, in addition to warnings issued to a number of stores.
