Participants at the training programme organised by the Electronic Department of Dar Al Sharq.
The Electronic Department of Dar Al Sharq organized the first training programme entitled “Digital marketing trip” from January 15 to 19 at Ezdan Hotel.
Seventeen trainees from charity organizations and some other sectors participated in the programme.
There were working teams from Sheikh Thani bin Abdullah Foundation for Humanitarian Services (RAF), Eid Charitable Foundation, Jassem and Hamad bin Jassim Foundation, Ezdan Hotels, Tarbeya Center for Future Leaders and Al Dawa Islamic Organization.
The programme aimed at promoting digital marketing by developing toolkits and upgrading charity organizations and other partners by providing training for use in collecting donations and approaching the donors.
Prominent experts like Dr Ayman Amin, Director of Degital Marketing at a major Saudi company, and Engineer Ibrahim Al Awdi, Advisor for digital transformation and analyst for data at Oxfam International educated the trainees about digital marketing.
They talked about modern methodology of digital marketing. The participants were divided into groups for better interaction. All groups did practical projects based on their understanding to use the various tools proposed to upgrade the digital transformation.
Al Dawa organization started applying tips given in the programme on its social accounts like Facebook and Instagram and on its website as well, said Hasab Al Rasul Ali, Head of Public Relations and Media section at the organization.
Regarding the uses of digital technology, charity organizations should be upgraded about modern electronic means to develop their websites and donation collection platforms. This program will help upgrade the Dawah organization in future, said Ali.
The refresher course will contribute in big way to develop the skills of employees at RAF, said its Deputy Director for marketing and financial resources development. The course provided knowledge to the participants and helped increase their talents to keep pace with the world market in the sector of digital transformation, he added.
