Qatar condemns attack on mosque in Quebec City

Qatar has expressed its condemnation and denunciation of the armed attack that targeted worshipers at a mosque in Quebec City, northeast of Canada, resulting in a number of casualties.
The Foreign Ministry, in a statement stressed that such criminal acts which target innocent civilians and violate the sanctity of mosques are contrary to all humanitarian values, principles and laws, and threat peaceful coexistence. The Ministry also called for concerted regional and international efforts to eradicate the phenomenon of violence and terrorism in all its forms, stressing solidarity with the Canadian government and people. The statement expressed Qatar's sincere condolences to the government and people of Canada and to the families of victims, wishing speedy recovery to the wounded.
The GCC Secretary-General  Dr Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani also condemned the attack on the mosque in Canadian city Quebec. Al Zayani described the terror attack that contradict with all humanitarian and moral values and expressed the GCC's solidarity with the Canadian government.
