Doha, Qatar: The National Planning Council (NPC), in collaboration with the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau, held its periodic Planning, Quality and Innovation Forum yesterday providing a platform for directors of planning, quality and innovation departments across government entities.
President of the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau and Secretary-General of the National Planning Council, H E Dr. Abdulaziz bin Nasser bin Mubarak Al-Khalifa, opened the forum with a keynote address.
In his remarks, Al-Khalifa underscored the pivotal role of planning, quality, and innovation departments in overseeing strategies and formulating projects and programmes that bridge national priorities with day-to-day implementation.
In this context, His Excellency reaffirmed the unwavering commitment of the National Planning Council and the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau to providing every form of support and assistance to ensure that institutional efforts remain fully aligned with the State’s strategic directions.
The forum featured presentations on the priorities of the Third National Development Strategy and their implications for government entities. It also highlighted the updated Strategy Implementation Governance Guide and its role in supporting entities in aligning with developments under the Strategy, while discussing the role of the ‘Q-Execute’ System.
Participants also examined the importance of continuously updating national data to support evidence-based decision-making and strategic planning. The forum reviewed the digital transformation journey of the national statistical system and explored the role of advanced technologies in enhancing data collection, processing, analysis, and dissemination, while strengthening data integration and ensuring timely access to data for a wide range of stakeholders.
