Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Interior, in coordination with the General Civil Aviation Authority and relevant authorities, announced that, effective today, Tuesday, September 29, unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) will be permitted in designated areas, which can be identified through the Metrash app.
Drone operations are permitted during two periods each day: from sunrise until 9am and from 2pm until sunset.
The Ministry of Interior urged all users to adhere to the designated areas and permitted times, and not to operate drones outside authorised zones or for purposes other than those for which they are licensed. Users must also comply with all approved requirements and designated operating zones.
The Ministry confirmed that it will take necessary legal action against violators in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
