Doha, Qatar: Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) has recognised the valuable contributions of members of its Patient and Family Advisory Council (PFAC) and Person-Centred Care (PCC) Ambassadors, honouring their commitment to strengthening patient and family engagement, and advancing a culture of compassionate, person-centred care across HMC.
Held at Hamad Bin Khalifa Medical City under the theme “Recognising Our Partners in Person-Centered Care,” the event brought together HMC senior leaders, PFAC members and PCC Ambassadors to celebrate the meaningful role that patients, families, and staff play in shaping and improving the healthcare experience.
The event was attended by HMC leaders, Mona Al-Homaiddi, Chief Human Resources Officer, Mariam Al-Mutawa, Chief Nursing Officer and Dr. Yousuf Khalid Al Maslamani Deputy Chief Medical Officer for clinical affairs, demonstrating the HMC’s strong leadership commitment to patient and family partnership and to embedding person-centered care throughout the organization.
The event emphasized the important contributions of PFAC members who provide valuable patient and family perspectives that help inform improvements in healthcare services and the overall patient experience.
The PCC Ambassadors were also recognized for their role in promoting compassionate human interactions and championing the principles of person-centered care in their daily interactions with patients, families and colleagues.
A highlight of the event was the premiere of a video capturing the stories, connections and experiences that bring person-centered care to life across HMC, showcasing the collective impact of PFAC members and PCC Ambassadors in keeping compassion, respect, dignity, and partnership central to the delivery of care.
The event also featured an appreciation ceremony recognizing 88 PFAC members across all HMC facilities, alongside the leaders and PCC Champions of each facility.
The ceremony honoured their time, expertise and continued commitment to ensuring that the voices of patients and families are heard in shaping and improving healthcare services. A total of 80 PCC Ambassadors were also recognized for their dedication to promoting a culture of compassion and person-centred care across HMC hospitals and facilities.
