Doha, Qatar: The Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani issued on Tuesday Amiri Decision No. 37 of 2026 appointing the Board of Trustees of Tamim bin Hamad University for Military and Technology Sciences.
The decision stipulates that the Board of Trustees of Tamim bin Hamad University for Military and Technology Sciences shall be chaired by the Commander-in-Chief of the Qatar Armed Forces, with the Minister of State for Defence Affairs serving as Vice-Chairman.
The members shall include the Minister of Interior, the Minister of Education and Higher Education, the Minister of Transport, the Head of the State Security, and Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces.
They also include the President of the National Cyber Security Agency, President of Qatar University, Dr. Mariam Ali Sultan Al-Maadeed and Sheikha Dr. Dena bint Ahmed bin Saif Al-Thani.
The decision also authorizes the Chairman of the Board to appoint additional members possessing relevant competence and expertise.
The decision is effective starting from the date of its issuance and is to be published in the official gazette.
