Doha, Qatar: Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs H E Ghanem bin Shaheen bin Ghanem Al Ghanim paid an official visit yesterday to the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, during which he met with Minister of Religious Affairs and Endowments H E Dr. Youcef Belmehdi.
The meeting saw the signing of a cooperation agreement between the two ministries. This agreement includes articles concerning the exchange of expertise in the field of endowment management and the development of competencies in religious affairs, thereby strengthening institutional partnership and opening new horizons for bilateral cooperation.
The bilateral sessions between the ministers also provided an opportunity for consultation on mechanisms to activate joint cooperation and to exchange views on issues of mutual interest in the religious field, contributing to the service of Islamic and endowment work.
The visit, with its fraternal and diplomatic nature, reflected the two countries’ keenness to enhance bilateral relations and reinforce their existing partnership, particularly concerning issues related to the religious affairs and endowment sector. This is expected to benefit both the Qatari and Algerian peoples and embodies the exceptional relations between the two states.
