DOHA: All sites allocated for winter camping on the beaches, except Sealine, are fully booked, the Ministry of Environment has said.
However, several slots inshore are still available, including Rowdat Rashid, Rowdat Aisha, Al Mazroua, Umm Al Afaee, Al Hashm, Al Naqyan and Al Kharrara.
The ministry will continue receiving applications online until October 15.
The camping season this year extends from November 1 to March 31.
Applicants can directly visit registration centres in Doha, Umm Salal, Al Rayyan, Al Shamal, Al Mazrouah, Al Sheehania and Al Wakrah.
Twenty-three sites have been allocated for camping.
The ministry has introduced new conditions for camping this year. Age of applicants should not be less than 25. One applicant will get permission for one camp.
Campers must strictly comply with camping rules and environment protection laws.
The ministry has blacklisted 58 people for violating rules, who are barred from obtaining licence this year.
It has deployed about 200 inspectors to continuously monitor the camps.
