A field visit of inspectors at the conclusion of the electronic inspection system training.
The first part of training for 170 health inspectors on “the electronic inspection system” concluded yesterday.
The training course, which started on May 7 and ran for almost four months, aimed at training health inspectors of the Ministry of Municipality and Environment to build their capacity and implement the government’s electronic systems by activation of different applications issued in providing services to the public.
The Center of Environmental and Municipal Studies at the Ministry developed the electronic inspections programme in cooperation with Geographical Information System (GIS).
The programme has the ability to determine the locations of the inspection, produce seizure records, issue warning and report violations using emails.
The system also helps the Ministry to create database for all shops and business outlets in the country which will be under continuous inspections, in addition to classification of the data collected with statistical figures and geographical information.
The Ministry said the system will help in accomplishing tasks fast and accurately in a transparent manner and quality performances.
The training programme included five groups of inspectors with 20 training hours for each group. It also included theoretical and practical aspects on the use of the system visiting some outlets and food stores. The trainees’ performances were evaluated at the end of the course and graded according to evaluation results.
The Center of Environmental and Municipal Studies will start the second phase of the training programme after the Eid holidays which will include 80 government inspectors and supervisors of the Ministry.
The programme will conclude at the end of October while the joint training programme for all inspectors and supervisors will end in December, said the Ministry.
