DOHA: The Ministry of Environment has referred several people to public prosecution for action for building illegal shades in the desert to raise livestock.
The ministry which issues licence for animal farms has warned people against encroaching on government property and build illegal animal farms. The ministry, according to Qatar News Agency (QNA), has a patrol division whose inspectors make regular rounds of outer areas to check illegal farms and shades.
QNA reports that inspectors have, in crackdowns, caught several illegal farms people built in the remote desert areas.
Those caught and referred to public prosecution were issued warnings and asked to remove the illegal shades and farms but they didn’t listen.
