Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Interior announced a temporary closure of a section of Al Markhiya Street until Saturday, July 18, 2026, to facilitate road works.
According to the ministry, the closure will be implemented according to the following schedule:
-Sunday to Thursday: 12:00am – 5:00am
-Friday: 2:00am – 10:00am
-Saturday: 2:00am – 7:00am
The closure affects a section of Al Markhiya Street near the Al Hammam Interchange in the Al Gharrafa area, while surrounding roads will remain open to traffic as indicated in the approved traffic diversion plan.
Motorists are advised to plan their journeys in advance, use alternative routes where necessary, and follow directional signs and traffic instructions during the closure period
