Rome: Qatar participated in the 44th session of the Conference of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations (UN), which commenced at the FAO headquarters in Rome yesterday, and will run until July 4.

The conference is discussing trade’s role in securing diverse food supplies in order to ensure food security and nutrition during prolonged crises, countries’ commitments to maintaining food supply chains amid ongoing regional and global crises and pandemics, and the promotion of innovation and the use of digital agricultural technologies as enablers to accelerate progress toward achieving Sustainable Development Goals.
