DOHA: The Supreme Education Council (SEC) has urged the ministries, government institutions and local and foreign universities based in Qatar not to force students and job seekers to submit originals of their secondary school certificates along with their applications.
Students seeking higher studies and those applying for jobs are required to submit only the photocopies of their certificates.
Employers or universities can ask for the originals after the application process is completed, said a circular issued by SEC’s Evaluation Institute.
The SEC has advised students and job seekers not to submit the originals unless they got a confirmation that they are admitted or employed.The Peninsula
