Bureau of Immigration (BI) could not ascertain the whereabouts of two of Vice President Jejomar Binay’s most trusted aides while he was still Mayor of Makati City despite, claims made by Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV that Gerardo Limlingan and Eduviges Baloloy have already left the country.

BI spokesperson lawyer Elaine Tan said that BI travel records showed that a certain Eduviges Duenas Baloloy who was born on Oct. 17, 1950 is still in the country.

He went overseas and returned on Sept. 6, 2014 with “no record of departure reflected thereafter.”

On the other hand, Ms. Tan said the travel records of Gerardo Limlingan were unclear “as there are four Gerardo Limlingans under the BI’s dababase, born in 1942, 1970, 1983, and 2012.

She said those born in 1970 atnd 2012 are out of the country. Both left Manila on 27 June 2015, with no record of arrival.

Ms. Tan said Gerardo Limlingan born in 1942 and 1983 are in the country having traveled and arrived in the country on Oct. 17, 2003 and June 15, 2015, respectively.

Limlingan and Baloloy are subjects of a Senate investigation for their involvement in the alleged illegal financial transactions in Makati including the reported overpriced construction of the Makati City Hall Building II.
