Doha, Qatar: In recognition of QIIB’s prominent role in social responsibility, Qatar Social Responsibility Network has honoured the bank during the Social Responsibility Conference and Exhibition that was held in collaboration with Qatar University under the patronage of H E Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Ali Al Mesaifri, QIIB Head of Human Resources and Administrative Affairs, received an honour shield at a ceremony organised within the conference events, during which the tenth edition of the CSR National Report was released.
On this occasion, Al Mesaifri stated: “We are pleased to receive this honour shield once again and we are proud of being among the institutions who were honoured for their role in serving the community. Our strong commitment to community service has always been part of QIIB practices.”
He added: “The Social Responsibility Conference and Exhibition and the launch of the CSR National Report are both important occasions to confirm the priority of cooperation between profit and non-profit organizations which provide various programmes that contribute to the progress of society and promote horizontal development that benefits the largest segment of society”.
He also added: “QIIB is exerting every effort to maintain strong relationships with various active entities in the field of community service, as it provides support for educational, cultural, sports, and charitable initiatives and events, that contribute to benefiting various segments of society.”
Al Mesaifri continued: “We look at social responsibility from a broad and deep perspective, as we work to ensure that our banking products and services are compatible with the requirements and needs of society, and in line with Islamic Sharia standards that emphasize the importance of building the land and achieving development”.
He noted: “QIIB’s efforts in the field of community service attach particular importance to supporting small and medium-sized companies, as we believe that such companies play an important role in achieving development that benefits a wide segment of society, and we are pleased to be pioneers in this field through many initiatives.”
He stressed: “The bank will continue its efforts in the field of social responsibility programmes, whether by focusing on banking products and services that provide added value to customers, or by providing care and development for people through supporting and sponsoring various events and activities that we hope will constitute a unique contribution to achieving high community goals.”
Finally, Al Mesaifri expressed his thanks to Qatar University and Qatar Social Responsibility Network for their initiative to honour QIIB during the Social Responsibility Conference and Exhibition, which has become an important annual event that sheds light on the most prominent community initiatives and the parties that influence them.
