Doha, Qatar: For the first time in Qatar, The Vortex International Championships 2026 is bringing top swimmers to Aspire Zone.

The three-day competition makes a splash on April 30 and continues until May 2, 2026. Hosted by the largest aquatic centre in the Middle East; Hamad Aquatic Centre, and in partnership with Qatar Swimming Association, the championship promises an opportunity for youth, emerging talent and veterans to compete on a world-class stage.

The competition will feature 680 swimmers from 30 clubs and more than five countries, including teams from Bahrain and Oman. Additionally, the event offers a rare chance to meet special guest, Tunisian Olympic swimmer and World Champion Ahmed Jaouadi. Aspire Academy swimmers will also be competing, showcasing the event as a true reflection of AZF’s vision to develop sports talent and foster a comprehensive sports ecosystem.

Events & Venues Director Ahmed Mohammed Al Hassan said, “Hosting the Vortex International Championship in Aspire Zone allows us to create meaningful opportunities for young athletes to test themselves at the highest level.

The event is more than a competition as it is considered a powerful platform for youth development.”

The event is sponsored by Jetour, Qommunication, Aseel Water, who believe the Vortex International Championship a kind of unique community-driven event they have always aspired to be part of.

Designed to challenge athletes across every discipline and distance, events will be divided into age categories starting from age six to Masters category.
