DOHA: A bride has had a nightmarish experience with a beauty salon she visited on the eve of her wedding as it caused burns on her body with some cream during a treatment.

The woman had boils on her hands and legs in an instant and instead of going back home for wedding she rushed in a huff for emergency medical care.
Later, she lodged a police complaint against the parlour and the public prosecution filed charges against it and one of its beauticians and took them to court.
The court, a criminal one, fined the beauty salon and the beautician who treated the woman QR5,000 ($1,373) each for causing harm to her deliberately.
The beautician, however, told the court in her defense that when the woman called her for an appointment she told her not to use any cream for hair removal on her body on her own.
“But she had actually used a cream at home despite our advice,” said the beautician. She said before using the cream on her body in the parlor she tested it for allergy and then asked the woman if she could apply it all over her body as here was nothing wrong and she replied in the affirmative.
The beautician said that as soon as she was through with the woman and she left the room she began crying.
“I wiped her body again,” the beauticians said. The court, however, fined her and her employers QR5,000 each for causing harm to the customer.
