ICBF organises blood donation camp at HMC Blood Donation Centre

Doha, Qatar: The Indian Community Benevolent Forum (ICBF), continuing its commitment to dedicated service for the expatriate Indian community in Qatar, successfully organised a blood donation camp in association with Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) at the Qatar National Blood Donation Centre.

The camp was officially inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Ambassador of India to Qatar H E Vipul. In his address, he appreciated the efforts of the ICBF team, Hamad Medical Corporation, community volunteers, and blood donors for coming forward in support of this noble cause, especially during the ongoing challenging times in the region. 

He emphasised that such initiatives are the need of the hour and reflect the strong solidarity of the Indian community with Qatar, our second home, while further strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.

Eish Singhal, First Secretary at the Embassy of India and ICBF Coordinating Officer, graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour. 

The camp received an overwhelming response, with more than 230 volunteers from various states of India donating blood.

ICBF President Shanavas Bava delivered the presidential address during the official function. Deepak Shetty, General Secretary, welcomed the guests, and Mini Siby, Health Wing In-Charge, proposed the vote of thanks.

The event was coordinated by Vice President Rasheed Ahamed and Secretary Jafer Thayyil, with the support of MC Members Mani Bharathi, Neelambari S, Amar Veer Singh, Khaja Nizamudeen, and Advisory Council Member Satheesh Vilavil.

The camp was attended by ICBF Advisory Council Chairman Prasad Garu, Programme Committee Chairman K. V. Boban, ICC President AP Manikandan, ICC Advisory Council Chairman P N Baburajan, ICC General Secretary Abraham Joseph, along with apex body office bearers, MC members, representatives of ICBF associated organisations, and various community leaders.
