Birmingham: The second day of Qatar-UK Business and Investment Forum, which is taking place in Birmingham, saw signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in the health field as well as an agreement on the establishment of an economic cooperation committee between Qatar and the United Kingdom.
Minister of Public Health Dr H E Hanan Mohamed Al Kuwari signed the health MoU on behalf of Qatar, while Nicola Blackwood, undersecretary of state for public health and innovation, represented the UK.
Meanwhile, an agreement on the establishment of a joint committee on economic, commercial and technical cooperation between the governments of Qatar and the UK was signed by Minister of Economy and Commerce, H E Sheikh Ahmed bin Jassim bin Mohamed Al Thani, from the Qatari side and UK Secretary of State for International Trade, Liam Fox, on behalf of the UK government.
