HE Dr Mohammed Abdul Wahed Ali Al Hammadi, Minister of Education and Higher Education yesterday inaugurated the Arab Educational Training Center for Gulf States in presence of a number of senior officials from the Ministries of Education of the Gulf States.
We count a lot on the centre to train teachers, educational managements, leaderships in the Ministries of Education of the member countries of the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States, said the Minister of Education and Higher Education.
Speaking to media on the sidelines of the inauguration ceremony of the new centre, the Minister said that Qatar needed this centre to meet its needs on training and development of education system.
"The centre is one of the best educational training centres in Arab countries in terms of quality of training provided to educational leaderships and manpower capacities building," he added.
Meanwhile, six senior officials were honored by the Arab Bureau for Education in the Gulf States for their dedication and efforts.
Emphasising the importance of training in the process of education developments, the minister pointed out that the ministry is about to launch new building for the educational training center under the ministry of education.
This year training programmes are based on measuring the impacts of training courses on teachers performances and students achievements, the Minister noted.
In his opening speech, the General Manager of the Bureau of Education for the Gulf States, Dr Ali bin AbdulKhaliq Al Karni, said that training is one of the core areas for education development, capacity building and promotions.
The current significant development in Qatari education system has proved this fact, he added, noting that the inauguration of the centre today here comes in line with the Qatari and other GCC States vision.
Dr Muza Nasser Al Kaabi, Director of the Arab Educational Center for GCC States, highlighted that the centre since its opening in 2001 used its all capacities to achieve excellence in its training programmes.
