BAGHDAD: At least one person was killed and nine wounded in an explosion on Tuesday morning in central Baghdad, the independent al-Sumaria TV said, citing a police source.
The blast happened near a gathering of workers in the crowded Bab Sharji commercial district, it said.
A police spokesman earlier reported the blast without giving a casualty toll or details on whether it was an explosive device or a suicide bombing.
