The Embassy of the Republic of Korea, in cooperation with the Korean Kite Flier Association, Katara Cultural Village and Shafallah Center and with the support of Qatar Airways, organised a Korean Flying Kite Event yesterday at Katara. The kites, which were brought in from Korea were gigantic and came in different shapes and colours. They were seen soaring over Doha skies with splendid movements controlled by highly-skilled kite masters, who came from Korea especially for this event. The masters showed some deft moves with the kites entertaining the crowd. A Kite Making Workshop was also held as part of the event, where a selected few got a rare chance to undertsand the techniques behind kite making. Today, they are organising a Kite Making Workshop and Kite Flying Demonstration exclusively for the students of Shafallah Center at the Shafallah Center Garden.
