Damascus: Israeli forces have shelled areas of southern Syria, targeting parts of western Daraa and northern Quneitra provinces, according to Syrian state media. No casualties were reported.

The Syrian Arab News Agency said three artillery shells landed in open land between the villages of Abdin and Maariyah in western Daraa countryside on Wednesday, causing no human losses.

Additional shelling was reported on agricultural land on the outskirts of Jubata Al Khashab in northern Quneitra province, also without injuries.

Israeli occupation has carried out frequent strikes and military actions in southern Syria in recent months. Syrian authorities say these operations constitute repeated violations of the 1974 Disengagement Agreement.

Damascus has accused Israel of continued incursions into southern Syria, as well as raids, arrests and the destruction of farmland in the area.
