Doha, Qatar: InterContinental Doha Beach & Spa proudly commemorated its 25th Anniversary on Saturday, 15 November, with an elegant soirée held on the Novecento terrace, overlooking the iconic property and Doha’s spectacular skyline.
The celebration marked a historic milestone for the first privately owned hotel in Qatar, honouring a legacy that began in November 2000 under the vision of Sheikh Mohamed bin Fahed Al-Thani and has since evolved into one of the nation’s most recognisable luxury destinations.
The evening brought together distinguished guests, long-standing partners, and dedicated colleagues who have shaped the hotel’s remarkable journey over the past quarter-century. General Manager Hanno Barkhoff, Sheikh Mohamed bin Fahed Al-Thani, and Mohamad Azakir, Area HR Director for Qatar, Kuwait & Bahrain for IHG® Hotels & Resorts, delivered heartfelt speeches reflecting on the hotel’s evolution and celebrating the long-serving team members who have contributed 25 years of service. Their dedication has been instrumental in cementing InterContinental Doha Beach & Spa’s reputation for excellence, innovation, and warm hospitality.
