Doha: A delegation from the Ministry of Education and Higher Education conducted an official visit to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to exchange expertise and learn from leading experiences in e-learning, vocational training, and programmes for people with disabilities.
The visit, led by the Director of Educational Services Center Management, Iman Ali Al Nuaimi, focused on studying Jordan’s licensing system for e-learning platforms, including their establishment procedures and operational regulations. The delegation also reviewed training programs offered through continuing education, mechanisms for accrediting professional programs in private centres, and the practices of centres for people with disabilities.
The delegation met with the Director of Private Education at the Jordanian Ministry of Education to discuss licensing and monitoring procedures for educational platforms. This was followed by field visits to licensed platforms such as Asas and Go Academy to examine their operations and the educational content provided to students.
The delegation also visited the Vocational Training Corporation under the Jordanian Ministry of Labor to review training programs and beneficiary groups, as well as the Vocational and Technical Skills Development Authority and the Accreditation and Quality Authority for vocational training, where both sides discussed program accreditation policies and quality assurance in training centres. Additionally, they visited Queen Rania Teacher Academy to review programs for continuing education staff, evaluation mechanisms for e-learning platforms, and opportunities to align these with Qatar’s continuing education programs to expand open educational platforms.
The program concluded with visits to the Atlas Center for Autism and Capacity Development and the Higher Council for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (HCD) to review therapeutic and behavioural programmes, accreditation requirements for specialised centres, and ways to enhance their services.
This visit is part of the Ministry’s efforts to enhance the quality of education and training, develop academic support programmes and centres for people with disabilities, keep pace with global developments, and contribute to achieving Qatar National Vision 2030 by building an innovative, inclusive, and sustainable education system.
