Doha, Qatar: President of the Republic of Cyprus H E Nikos Christodoulides visited the Expo 2023 Doha Horticultural Exhibition and toured its the most important facilities as well as the activities it presents.
During the visit, the President was accompanied by Minister of Municipality and Chairman of the National Committee for Hosting the Expo 2023 Doha H E Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subaie, and a number of Their Excellencies ministers from the accompanying delegation along with senior officials.
His Excellency signed the register of VIP visitors and planted a tree in the international zone at the Expo as a symbol of cooperation and friendship between the two countries. He and the accompanying delegation also visited the Qatari Pavilion and learned about the most important modern agricultural techniques it exhibits, and the technological equipment associated with it.
The current edition of Expo 2023 Doha seeks to find innovative solutions to turn challenges into opportunities by using modern technologies, reducing water consumption, and at the same time preserving natural resources, in addition to putting technology and innovation in the service of food security, and spreading environmental awareness to ensure sustainability.
Expo 2023 Doha also represents an opportunity for researchers, innovators and creators to present their research and inventions related to agriculture and horticulture, and methods of flexibility and adaptation to the consequences of climate change.
