Doha, Qatar: ‎The Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs has announced the extension of the registration period for the Hajj season 1447 AH until Saturday, November 15, 2025, in response to the public's desire and  the large number of requests and calls received regarding registration to perform the Hajj this year.‎

‎Registration will continue through the Ministry's official website (hajj.gov.qa), until the end of the new deadline set in about two weeks, as part of the Ministry's keenness to provide the largest number of pilgrims in the country who wish to perform the rituals and complete the registration requirements in a facilitated and organized atmosphere.‎

‎Director of the Department of Hajj and Umrah Affairs, Ali bin Sultan Al Misefri, stated that the decision to extend the decision came in response to the great interaction of the public with the early registration campaign launched by the Ministry at the beginning of this October, pointing out that the increasing turnout reflects the keenness of those wishing to register to perform the duty of the fifth pillar, as well as the confidence that the pilgrims of the State of Qatar place in the distinguished services and organization provided by the Qatari Hajj Mission annually.‎

‎Al-Misefri stressed that obtaining a certificate of health capacity (medically fit) is the first and necessary step before registration, as no one will be able to register through the website without obtaining this certificate approved by health centers in the country, pointing out that it is among the admission requirements set by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in order to ensure the safety of the pilgrim and his health ability to perform the rituals properly.‎

‎He also reiterated that the initial amount of ten thousand Qatari Riyals, which is paid through the electronic system when selecting the campaign, is not a registration fee, but rather an advance payment that is deducted from the total cost of the Hajj trip, according to the level of services determined by each campaign in housing, transportation and subsistence.‎

‎Al-Misefri said that the number of licensed and approved Hajj campaigns for this season is 27, calling on those wishing to register to contact the Department of Hajj and Umrah Affairs directly to inquire or submit any complaints through the hotline (132).‎

‎The Director of the Department of Hajj and Umrah Affairs pointed out that the State of Qatar's quota for this year's season is 4400 pilgrims, and that the Ministry has coordinated with the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on the timings and procedures related to the electronic route of Hajj, in order to ensure the ease of organizing trips and providing the best services to Qatari pilgrims.‎

‎Al-Misefri concluded his statement by confirming that these arrangements come as an embodiment of the mission of the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs in serving the pilgrims from the people of Qatar, and facilitating the performance of the fifth pillar of Islam in a safe atmosphere of faith, and in a way that reflects the joint efforts between the concerned authorities in the State of Qatar and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to make the Hajj season of 1447 AH a success.‎
