Nagoya (Japan): President of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) HE Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani, met on Monday with a delegation from the Doha 2030 Asian Games Organising Committee, which is taking part in the Observer Programme. The meeting was held on the sidelines of the 20th Asian Games, Aichi-Nagoya 2026.
The meeting was attended by HE Secretary-General of the Qatar Olympic Committee, Jassim bin Rashid Al Buenain; CEO of the Doha 2030 Asian Games Organising Committee, Dr. Ahmed Abdullah Al Buainain; and other delegation members participating in the programme.
During the meeting, HE the OCA President was briefed on the Doha 2030 delegation's participation in the Observer Programme, which offers an opportunity to learn about the organisational and operational aspects of the current Games and gain practical insights and experience in organising the Asian Games with a delegation of the organizing committee of the 21st Asian Games - Doha 2030, who are part of the supervision program, on the sidelines of the 20th Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026.
Attendees of the meeting were HE Secretary-General of the Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC), Jassim bin Rashid Al Buenain, and CEO of the organizing committee of the 21st Asian Games - Doha 2030, Dr. Ahmed Abdullah Al Buenain, in addition to members of the delegation participating in the program.
HE OCA President viewed during the meeting the participation of the 21st Asian Games - Doha 2030 delegation in the supervision program, providing glimpses of the organization and operation during the current edition and benefiting from practical and related experiences.
