Careem, a ride-hailing service in the Middle East and North Africa, has announced its strategic partnership with Ooredoo, the leading telecommunications service provider in Qatar. Customers who subscribe to Ooredoo’s Shahry Smart or Qatarna plans will now receive monthly discounts on rides with Careem.
Through this agreement, Ooredoo’s postpaid subscribers are now eligible to enjoy a 20 percent discount on a select number of rides with Careem each month. Customers need only submit a request for a promo code via the Ooredoo app to benefit from the offer; depending on their specific telecom plan, subscribers can receive between one and six of these discount vouchers per month.
This partnership highlights Careem’s commitment to facilitating the lives of local customers, which has distinguished the company and continues to set it apart. The ability to provide reliable, safe, and convenient transport services at a reasonable price is made possible due to the cooperation of its various local and international partners. This recent partnership will expand Careem’s ability to provide an even more elevated quality of service in Qatar.
Commenting on the partnership, the General Manager of Emerging Markets at Careem, Ibrahim Manna, said, “We are proud of our recent partnership with Ooredoo, the leading telecommunications service provider in Qatar. This further reflects the trust that high-profile companies have in Careem and the confidence they place in our ongoing success, which is driven by our commitment to superior quality of service and our strategic plans to revolutionize the transportation and logistics industry in the region. This latest partnership supports Careem’s continuous efforts to provide the people of Qatar with a reliable ride-hailing service with flexible payment options.”
