DOHA: Islam Web (islamweb.net), the Islamic Network affiliated with the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, recorded significant growth in its digital performance during the first half of 2026, reinforcing its position as a leading multilingual Islamic digital platform providing reliable religious, educational, cultural and awareness content to millions of users worldwide.
According to the network’s performance report for January-June 2026, Islam Web websites recorded more than 206 million visits, up from over 184 million during the same period in 2025, representing a 12% increase.
The number of users also registered a substantial rise, reaching more than 146 million, compared with around 93 million in the first half of last year, an increase of 58.5%.
The network recorded more than 263 million page views during the six-month period, highlighting sustained interest in its diverse religious and educational resources and the growing demand for reliable Islamic information online.
The Fatwa website remained the network’s most visited platform, recording more than 116 million page views. The service provides religious guidance in Arabic as well as six other languages, English, French, Spanish, German, Russian and Indonesian, enabling it to serve a broad international audience seeking reliable and specialised Islamic guidance.
The Islamic Library ranked second, attracting more than 68 million page views. The platform provides access to a wide range of Islamic scholarly and cultural resources for researchers, students and other users around the world.
Meanwhile, the Consultations website recorded around 25 million page views, reflecting strong demand for its family, social, educational and psychological guidance services.
Islam Web also recorded growing engagement with its audio content. More than 2.5 million users accessed its religious and educational audio materials during the first half of the year, while the number of audio files downloaded exceeded 20 million.
The performance figures highlight the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs’ efforts to harness digital transformation and modern technologies in advancing its mission of promoting balanced Islamic values and reliable religious knowledge. The ministry has continued to expand access to trusted Islamic content through digital platforms, allowing users in Qatar and around the world to access religious, educational and cultural resources around the clock and in multiple languages.
The growth also forms part of the implementation of the ministry’s 2025-2030 strategic plan, which places particular emphasis on digital transformation and the development of electronic Islamic services and content.
Islam Web’s expanding global reach also supports the objectives of Qatar National Vision 2030, particularly those related to building a knowledge-based society, investing in modern technologies and strengthening Qatar’s cultural and civilisational presence internationally.
