Doha, Qatar: University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST) recognized 12 participants who successfully completed the Training Course for Instructors, based on the Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping (STCW) and International Maritime Organisation (IMO) Model Course 6.09, during a certificate presentation ceremony held at the University’s Maritime Simulation and Training Centre (MTSC).
The graduates, representing various public and private maritime entities across Qatar, successfully completed the Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping (STCW) Training Course for Instructors, based on the International Maritime Organization (IMO) Model Course 6.09.
The STCW Instructor Training Course equips maritime professionals with the instructional knowledge, teaching methodologies, and practical assessment techniques required to effectively plan, deliver, and evaluate competency-based training in accordance with international STCW standards. The program supports the development of qualified instructors capable of delivering high-quality maritime education while promoting safety, operational excellence, and global best practices across the industry.
