Doha: Ooredoo yesterday announced that its Hala India Key will be become a permanent part of the company’s portfolio, as more people look to call India on Qatar’s bigger and faster network.
The key, which was launched to help the large Indian expatriate community stay connected with friends and family in the region, has become a popular product offering customers call rates decreased to just 10 Dirhams per minute, a saving of 89 Dhs/min on the standard rate of calling India.
With the permanent upgrade, Ooredoo has also announced that it will slash the key’s subscription fee to half, making it just QR0.50 per week.
To take advantage of this low cost rate, Hala customers need to simply subscribe to the India Key by sending the SMS ‘IND’ to 121. The subscription will cost QR0.50 per week and will be automatically renewed so customers can continue to enjoy the benefits of subsidised international calling rates to India.
For reduced call rates to other countries, customers can also subscribe to the Hala International Saver Key and Shahry Saver Key.
