Doha, Qatar: The Next Generation School (TNG) hosted a momentous graduation ceremony for its A-Level Class of 2026, marking not just the culmination of academic study but a celebration of leadership, innovation, and national contribution.

The event, held at the Auditorium of TNG school Al Wakra campus, brought together proud parents, dedicated educators, and distinguished dignitaries to honour a cohort defined by its resilience and forward-thinking vision. The ceremony was graced by the presence of TNG Board members, Dr. Waseem Kutoub, Country Director of the British Council Qatar, and Mr. Osama Idrees, Community Welfare Attaché at the Embassy of Pakistan, who attended as Chief Guests. Their attendance underscored the global and community-oriented ethos that TNG instils in its students.

While academic excellence was a cornerstone of the celebration, the highlight of the event was the recognition of the students’ leadership journeys through TNG Youth Leadership Programme. The 2026 cohort distinguished themselves through active participation in initiatives that went beyond the classroom, focusing on research, critical thinking, and societal impact.  Their time at TNG was characterized by a robust research and development phase, where students engaged in projects that addressed real-world challenges, reflecting the school’s commitment to creating not just scholars, but changemakers.

The ceremony served as a platform to showcase the impressive milestones achieved by the students on national and international stages. A significant moment of pride was the celebration of TNG’s remarkable achievement in the British Council’s “Your World” Competition 2026, marking the school’s fifth consecutive year of success at national, regional, and global levels.

Pearson High Achievers: Recognition for outstanding performance in Pearson examinations. National Debate and Science Excellence: Students were honoured for their national achievements in Qatar Debate and the prestigious FameLab competition, demonstrating their prowess in communication and scientific inquiry.

In her address, Principal Ailia Rizvi praised the graduates for their resilience and adaptability. “You have stood strong in the face of challenges. While you may not have sat examinations in the way you expected, you were tested in patience, adaptability, resilience, and courage, and you passed with distinction,” she stated.

CEO Shagufta Bakali reinforced the school’s philosophy of purpose-driven success, urging the students to look beyond financial gain. “Uncertainty is not a lack of direction, it is an opportunity to shape the path forward,” she said. “Let your values be your compass, and strive not only to make a living, but to make a difference.”

Director Riyaz Ahmed Bakali encouraged the students to recognise their unique potential, expressing: “The universe is created for you. Know your strengths and utilise them.” His words echoed the school’s dedication to individualised development.
