Inspector honoured for marijuana seizure

Doha: A customs official at Hamad International Airport caught a passenger from an Asian country in transit from a Gulf country and recovered about 11 kg of marijuana from him.
Inspector Al Dawsary, who has been working with the Customs Department for two years, said, “I had suspicion about the contents of the bag the passenger was carrying. I asked my colleagues to check it and that is how we discovered marijuana packets wrapped with carbon paper.
Ahmed bin Ali Al Muhannadi, Chairman, General Authority of Customs, honoured Al Dawsary and thanked him for his efforts.
